What is collected
When you submit a report, the site stores the first part of your postcode, illness category, number of people affected, and any optional symptoms or note you choose to add.
The site also stores a browser-generated ID so the same browser stays associated with one reporting district. Hosting, database, security, and analytics providers may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser details, and page requests.
What is not collected
You do not need an account. The site does not ask for your name, exact address, full postcode, email address, or phone number.
What appears publicly
Reports are shown on the public map by postcode district. Public notes are only shown in grouped form when there are enough reports in an area, to reduce the chance of identifying a person.
Reports stay visible on the map for 7 days. Historical report data is kept for future trend analysis and moderation.
Abuse protection
The site uses basic rate limiting and may use Cloudflare Turnstile to deter automated submissions. Reports can also be hidden if they appear abusive, unsafe, or obviously false.
Service providers
The site is hosted on Vercel. Report data is stored in a Neon Postgres database. Cloudflare Turnstile is used for bot protection, and Vercel Web Analytics is used for basic site analytics.
These services may process technical information needed to provide hosting, database, security, and analytics functionality.
Analytics
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand basic usage, such as page views and referrers. This helps show whether people are finding and using the service during the pilot.
Analytics are used for product improvement only, not to identify individual visitors.
